New research has revealed the top three advice topics sought by small business owners in the UK.
According to the study carried out as part of Small Business Advice Week, which ran between August 31 and September 6, technology, profitability and funding are the three advice topics they’d find most beneficial to their businesses.
Of the 250 business owners polled, nearly a quarter (24%) felt advice on technology would give them a competitive advantage over similar companies and save them money on processes in the long term.
Help with profit margins came a close second, with one in five (20%) looking for advice on the subject as their business continues to grow.
Identifying sources of funding followed third.
According to the research, 18% of small business owners trust advice given to them by their business peers, but only 6% have a mentor.
