Win flights from Edinburgh to one of 12 sunshine destinations

Twitter and Facebook users are being given the chance to win flights to their favourite sunshine destination courtesy of Edinburgh Airport, Jet2.com and Transport for Edinburgh’s Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams.
To be in with a chance of winning flights for two to one of 12 European destinations, they’re being asked to vote for their favourite when prompted and should keep an eye on the Edinburgh Airport Twitter feed @EDI_Airport and Facebook page.
The #TakeMe2 competition, which starts today (Tuesday, November 24), has been launched to help highlight Jet2.com’s and Jet2holidays’ 12 new destinations flying from Edinburgh Airport for 2016. They are: Antalya, Crete, Dalaman, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Paphos, Rhodes, Vienna, Tenerife, Kefalonia, Larnaca and Zante.
One winner will be chosen at random out of all the entries for the most popular destination and will be announced mid-December.
Edinburgh Airport chief executive Gordon Dewar, said: “The chance to win a pair of flights by simply tweeting or posting on Facebook is an exciting prospect and I’m sure #TakeMe2 will capture people’s imagination.
Jet2.com’s and Jet2holidays’ 12 new destinations for 2016 – which brings their total number of destinations from Edinburgh Airport to 29 – are a sure sign of Edinburgh Airport’s growth and it reaffirms our total commitment to expanding passengers’ choice.”
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays added: “Next year is a very exciting year for us at Edinburgh Airport, with huge growth and expansion.  It’s going to be our biggest summer ever in Scotland so what better way to celebrate than by giving loyal local customers the chance to win a pair of free flights to one our 12 new destinations in this fantastic competition.”
Nigel Serafini, head of Commercial & Business Development at Lothian Buses, said: “With the introduction of twelve new routes from Jet2, we are committed to meeting an increased customer demand for travelling to and from Edinburgh Airport. Both Lothian Buses  Airlink Service 100 and Edinburgh Trams offer great value for money, frequent and convenient transport options, with Airlink operating 24 hours a day.
“We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Edinburgh Airport and Jet2 to bring a little bit of joy to travelling public of Edinburgh and the Lothians in the lead up to Christmas.”
