Free event to help Fife businesses employ with confidence

Showcase of support for employers to help break down the barriers to recruiting staff with health and disability issues
Employers in Fife are invited to get along to a free event later this month to find out about the support available when employing, recruiting and retaining staff who may have, or develop, a health issue or disability.
Local businesses are urged to register for ‘Employ with Confidence’ – to be held at the Vine Conference Centre in Dunfermline on 30 June – which will also see the launch of ‘Disability Confident in Scotland’, a new Scottish Government campaign designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people who have the skills, talents and abilities they are looking for.
A marketplace of stalls will give employers the opportunity to engage with a wide range of support organisations, including Fit for Work Scotland, Jobcentre Plus, Disability Confident and the Workplace Team from Fife’s newly-formed Health & Social Care Partnership.
The event is being organised by Opportunities Fife in partnership with Shaw Trust Scotland.
To register, click here, or contact Christine Davidson at Opportunities Fife at christine@voluntaryfifeaction.org.uk or on 0800 389 6046.
Please note that booking is essential.
