Kettle Produce staff were among those digging deep to support Macmillan Cancer Support
Businesses up and down the country took part in the World’s Largest Coffee Morning last Friday (30 September) – each hosting their own events to help boost the coffers of Macmillan Cancer Support.
One of those businesses was Fife vegetable supplier Kettle Produce, whose staff were baking and brewing all last week before turning out in force to support the charity – offering donations in exchange for each others’ home-baked treats.
Jane Downie, who organised the event with her colleagues in the finance department, said: “We all know someone affected by cancer, and Macmillan’s coffee mornings are a great way to raise awareness, morale and much needed funds for a very good cause.”
Liz Waugh, finance director, added: “I’m very proud of all our employees. £800 was raised through the efforts and generosity of our work force, with an additional £200 contributed by Kettle Produce. Our coffee morning was a huge success and together we raised a fantastic total of £1000.”
Evans Easyspace at John Smith Business Park in Kirkcaldy, and the Mortgage Advice Bureau, Gusto, and No11 Brasserie, which are all based in Edinburgh, were among the other east of Scotland businesses to take part in the World’s Largest Coffee Morning.
