Businesses in the east of Scotland are invited to get along to a free event on the importance of innovation in Edinburgh next Wednesday as part of Clydesdale Bank’s Business Week.
They’re encouraged to register for the event which will see writer and professional commentator Guy Browning of The Guardian share his innovation expertise with more than 40 bank customers, business owners and professionals at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonia.
An expert in business communication, Browning, who created The Guardian’s ‘Office’ column, presents Small Talk on BBC Radio 4 and is a best-selling author, will offer an insight into why optimism and creativity are necessary for business success.
The event, at which guests will be welcomed with a complimentary breakfast before Stephen Buchan, head of Edinburgh’s business and private banking centre, hands over to Browning, will run between 8 and 11am – for which guests are urged to register.
The audience will get the chance to ask Browning, whose new book is due for release today (Wednesday, November 4), questions after the presentation before being able to network with him and other guests.
Clydesdale Bank’s Business Week runs from November 9-13 and will see more than 250 customer-focused events take place at its UK-wide network of Business and Private Banking Centres on the theme of innovation and growth.
The Bank says Business Week enables the company to connect with new and existing customers while giving these firms the chance to meet with some of the UK’s leading financial experts to discuss their most pressing commercial issues, such as planning and securing finance for growth, improving profitability and succession planning.
