The fundamentals of financial management is the topic of St Andrews Business Club’s latest free event sponsored by Business Gateway Fife
Local business people are being invited to gain an expert insight into the core financial management principles they need for success at the latest St Andrews Business Club free early evening business issues seminar on Wednesday, February 17.
The event – to be held at the New St Andrews Golf Club from 5.30pm onwards – will hear from experienced executive Stephen Westwood, whose first e-book in the series ‘Business Success’ is on this topic and draws on his extensive track record of enabling businesses to build and realise value as well as restructuring and fundraising.
Westwood, who is a past president of the club, has a long career including high-level interim assignments for British Gas as director of Customer Services and manager of Debt Recovery Services, as well as chief executive and finance director roles across a range of industries in both public and private companies in the UK and abroad.
He has also served as a non-executive chairman for venture capital bodies as well as providing consulting services to a variety of smaller businesses and start-ups.
Westwood holds a degree in business law as well as his professional qualification as an FCA and has developed a successful training course which brings together essential knowledge and practical know-how of how to apply that knowledge in the real world. His e-book is based on a programme which he has delivered to hundreds of clients over several years,
The seminar is the fourth in the series being supported by Business Gateway Fife and is part of the new drive by the club to increase its membership through allowing business owners, entrepreneurs and managers working in St Andrews to sample the benefits of membership before joining.
Non-members are being encouraged to attend the seminars but are being asked to join the club if they intend to return.
