Musselburgh Racecourse says it’s seen sales soar by nearly 36% after releasing Early Bird tickets to its annual Stobo Castle Ladies’ Day in June.
It claims ticket sales are already up 1,500 on last year as racing and fashion enthusiast rush to snap up cheap tickets for the popular event.
Last year, the event attracted a record sell-out attendance of 10,300 and, according to the racecourse, is now widely recognised as Scotland’s largest fashion extravaganza.
The event also features the £100,000 William Hill Scottish Sprint Cup – Musselburgh’s richest horse race of the season.
According to organisers, the June 11 raceday usually sells out weeks in advance and tickets are already disappearing faster than in previous years.
Aisling Johnston, marketing manager at Musselburgh Racecourse, said: “Every year we are inundated with calls and messages from people who desperately want to come to Ladies Day but for a variety of reasons have left it too late and we have sold out to our maximum capacity.
“For anyone thinking of coming to Scotland’s premier racing and fashion day, plan ahead now and make sure you have purchased your ticket in advance. It is a fantastic experience and we pull out all the stops to have the racecourse looking its absolute best to match the effort put in by thousands of fantastic looking racing fans who enjoy this day.”
