Sodexo appoints new wedding co-ordinator at the Botanics

Queensferry firm strengthens sales team by recruiting Cassie Dougal 

Queensferry-based catering and events company Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events has strengthened its sales team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) by appointing Cassie Dougal as its new wedding co-ordinator.
Dougal, who is an honours graduate from Queen Margaret University, previously worked as sales & events co-ordinator at Norton House Hotel & Spa and, according to Sodexo, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Tasked with providing outstanding customer service for client weddings, Dougal will work within a dedicated and knowledgeable team to continue to drive RBGE as a world-class venue.
Suitable for a variety of functions from large scale conferences and product launches to social occasions and corporate meetings, more than 200 events, including 80 weddings, take place at the venue every year.
The position follows the appointment of Stephanie Lee as sales and revenue manager at the end of last year on the back of Sodexo’s success in securing a five-year contract extension to provide event management, catering and retail services at RBGE.

Around 80 temporary and permanent Sodexo employees are based at RBGE, which is an internationally-renowned centre of excellence in plant science and receives 800,000 visitors annually.
