New features to make it quicker and easier for customers to manage their finances on the move
Tesco Bank has become the latest to enhance its digital offering by adding Touch ID and Android Fingerprint to its mobile banking app.
It says this will make it it quicker and easier for customers to access their money on the move.
By enabling the app’s Touch ID or Android Fingerprint function, customers can log in to their accounts using just their fingerprints and can also authenticate other in-app functions to make managing their finances easier.
Grant Bourbousson, digital and customer 2020 director at Tesco Bank, said: “We launched our app two years ago and are always asking our customers what they will find most helpful.
“These latest additions make it even easier for customers to manage their money and is just one of the ways that we’re making our products as simple and helpful as possible.
“All customers need to do to use Touch ID or Android Fingerprint is to enable it in their device settings and make sure that they have downloaded the latest version of our app.
“They will then receive a prompt to help them set up Touch ID or Android Fingerprint and as always they can manage their preferences at any time via our app’s settings menu.
“This latest update to our app comes promptly after two new additions in our considerable feature set. These include the ability to set up and edit Direct Debits for credit card payments and the ability to activate new credit and debit cards.”
