Free support available to help Scottish SMEs cut annual bills by around £17k

Get free support from Resource Efficient Scotland to slash your energy, water and raw material costs

Scottish SMEs are being encouraged to access free support which cuts annual bills by £17k on average.
They can save money and reduce their environmental impact thanks to free support from Resource Efficient Scotland – a programme funded by the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund which provides free money-saving expertise on the use of energy, water and raw materials.
Through a team of business advisors covering the whole of Scotland, the programme offers free site assessments which, in the last year alone, has helped identify over £10 million worth of savings opportunities for Scottish businesses. That’s an average of over £17,000 per business accessing the support.
More than 85% of people who had support said they would recommend Resource Efficient Scotland to other organisations like themselves.
Right now, through the programme, SMEs can also access interest free loans of up to £100,000 to fund resource efficiency projects, grants up to £100,000 for waste reduction equipment, and access other funding streams that can contribute 15% of capital costs of energy-saving projects.
As well as providing support through their team of advisors, Resource Efficient Scotland also provides a range of free resources, guides, staff engagement posters, and training courses via their website.
