No significant delays expected during routine inspection of Humbie railway bridge
An overnight closure is scheduled on the slip-road from M9 Junction 1A eastbound onto the M90 on the night of Saturday, 8 October to allow for a routine inspection of the Humbie railway bridge.
The slip road will be closed between 8 pm and 6 am, with traffic diverted via the Newbridge roundabout and M9 Junction 1A westbound. Traffic on the M90 will be restricted to a single lane in both directions on and around the Humbie railway bridge.
Mark Arndt, Amey’s operating company representative for the Forth Bridges Unit, said: “We’ve planned these works overnight in order to minimise disruption. The closure is not expected to cause any significant delays but motorists planning to use this route should allow a few minutes extra for their journey.”
