Local businesses to pick up information on how to get involved in Small Business Saturday between 10am and 2pm today

The Small Business Saturday UK bus tour will be in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket today between 10am and 2pm to hand out free marketing packs and information for small business owners on how to get involved in this year’s campaign ahead of the event itself on December 3.
It made its debut in Aberdeen yesterday (Monday, 24 October), kicking off a 29-date tour to help put small, independent businesses in the national spotlight. small-business-saturday-uk-logo-2016-blue
About Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is an annual, grassroots, not-for-profit campaign which encourages people up and down the country to go out and support small businesses in their communities on that day and all year round.
Last year an estimated £623 million was spent with small businesses across the UK on the day – up £119 million on the previous year and an increase in spending of 24%.
In 2014, to celebrate Small Business Saturday, Love from Indie Street – a virtual high street of Edinburgh’s best independent businesses – teamed up with ‘Higher Love’ to run a free shuttle vintage VW camper van between the city centre and the hubs of independent businesses which exist around the city to show shoppers an alternative side to shopping in Edinburgh.
If you can’t make it to Grassmarket to visit the Small Business Saturday bus, you can find out more about how to get involved, or download a free marketing pack, here.
