Edinburgh consultancy undergoes a major rebranding exercise as it continues to grow
ESS Holdings has become the new trading name of the Edgar Stewart family following a major rebranding exercise.
The new division, which will act as the parent company to the company’s three recruitment brands, Edgar Stewart, Talented and Cyrus, is bolstered by a new website and logo developed in partnership by the firm and Glasgow-based freelance designer Mike Toghill.
Edgar Stewart, which is now part of ESS Holdings, will remain the trading name of the Edinburgh recruitment firm which specialises in bespoke professional services search and selection for the manufacturing and engineering; electronics, semiconductor and optoelectronics; biotechnology, life sciences and medical technology, and renewable energy sectors.
Recently-launched spin-outs Talented and Cyrus, which specialise in SME, start-up and high-growth spin-out and water and energy recruitment respectively, have also become part of ESS Holdings.
ESS Holdings Director Bruce Hydes, who is the Founding Director of Edgar Stewart, said: “With the company rapidly-expanding, it became essential to better clarify each of the brands and their positions within the company.
“ESS Holdings has now been set up as the over-arching parent company, which will continue to invest in Scottish recruitment start-ups and operate its business incubator and start-up hub in Stockbridge, which is now home to the Edgar Stewart, Talented and Cyrus recruitment firms.”
ESS Holdings – formerly known as Edgar Stewart – has experienced significant growth in the last 12 months after increasing its turnover by 300% to nearly £3 million following the launch of Talented and Cyrus.
It has also more than trebled its headcount by recruiting across the Edgar Stewart, Talented and Cyrus brands.
