Lothians-based AM Bid Services boosts turnover by 195%

Firm on track for even further growth in 2017 as it approaches third year of trading

Award-winning Lothians-based bid specialist AM Bid Services has reported an exponential 195% increase in the company’s turnover for its second year of year of trading.
Its turnover soared to £268k (with net profit of £68k) from £91k in Year 1 and, according to the firm, was achieved without any external financial support.
Since its inception in October 2014, the company has grown from a one-man-band – comprising founder Andrew Morrison – to now having five employees.
The firm says its recent appointment of David Gray as bid development director, who joined from multinational EDF Energy, as well as winning the 2016 Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce ‘Best Employer for Student & Graduate Recruitment’ Business Excellence Award, win make for a strong start to the company’s third year of trading.
Morrison said: “As our business enters its third year of trading, we have a strong and growing client base. An increasing number of these clients are using AM Bid Services as their bid team, outsourcing all their requirements to us. Very high win rates and high quality bid strategy advice are at the heart of our business. We look forward to continued growth and the opportunities that Year 3 is already bringing.”
AM Bid Services provides bid specialist services to businesses across the UK, with clients from FTSE 100 companies and household names, through national and regional businesses, to SMEs, micros businesses and sole traders.
It says that with more and more contracts going through formal procurement routes, organisations are realising that winning tendered business can be transformational for them by providing long-term guaranteed income streams.
