St Andrews Business Club launches new season of events

Early 2017 topics to include content marketing, leadership and employment law 

St Andrews Business Club has launched a new season of events for early 2017 – covering topics such as content marketing, leadership and employment law.
The group’s first free evening talk of the New Year will be held at the New St Andrews Golf Club on February 8 and delivered by award-winning content marketing expert Chris Marr, founder of the Fife-based Content Marketing Academy.
Local business people are invited to get along for free networking and to hear from Marr, who will share some of his insights on how to use content marketing to boost business.
His Content Marketing Academy is thought to be the UK’s largest membership organisation of its type and is the leading voice of Scotland’s growing content marketing movement.
Breakfast meetings 
The Club’s breakfast meetings – for members and their guests – start on January 18 with a talk from Bonnie Hacking, who is an enterprise adviser and teacher at the University of St Andrews’ School of Management. Hacking has been involved in setting up enterprises all over the world and will talk about the importance of leadership in organisations.

On February 15, Noele McClelland, an employment law partner at Thorntons, will speak about the developments in employment law that SMEs need to be aware of, such as holiday pay, the National Living Wage, and changes to termination payments.
Each of the breakfast meetings will start at 7.30am with 30 minutes networking before breakfast is taken and the speaker starts.
