Cyclists and pedestrians to use west footpath from 2 May

Diversion route for cyclists and pedestrians to be signposted via B981

Cyclists and pedestrians will be required to use the west footpath on the Forth Road Bridge from the morning of Tuesday 2 May until further notice.
The change is required to allow Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) to realign the cycle and pedestrian route at the north end of the bridge as part of the Queensferry Crossing project.
There will be no access to the footpath from Ferrytoll to the east side of the bridge, therefore a diversion route for cyclists and pedestrians will be signposted via the B981.
While these arrangements are in place the east footpath will close to the public and be restricted for maintenance access only.
