New lounge at Heathrow follows extensive monitoring of the terminal, which welcomes guests from more than 110 long-haul flights daily
Airport Premium Services specialist Plaza Premium Group are continuing their dedicated expansion at Heathrow following the opening of a new lounge.
Currently boasting a roster of lounges at Heathrow’s Terminals 2 and 4 Departures and Arrivals areas, the group has continued to invest, with doors now open to its Terminal 3 Arrivals lounge.
The decision to open a new lounge landside comes following extensive market research and monitoring of the terminal, which welcomes guests from over 110 long haul flights daily.
The lounge has a 28 person seating capacity and features generous food and beverage facilities as part of its lounge use packages. A wide variety of international newspapers and magazines, satellite television channels, unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi and an efficient pressing service are also available.
In line with Heathrow’s continuous efforts to increase its Airport Service Quality (ASQ) rating, Plaza Premium Group has worked to improve their lounges and facilities for Heathrow passengers by investing heavily in showers. Plaza Premium Lounge Terminal 3 Arrivals offers 11 spacious shower rooms which gives a welcome relief to passengers that have come from long haul flights.
Pauline Cheung, Regional General Manager of the United Kingdom and European arm of Plaza Premium Group, said: “Our arrivals lounges are designed to bring comfort, convenience and value to passengers. We are delighted to open the doors to another lounge in Heathrow and are proud to continue our expansion plans at the largest and busiest airport in Europe.
“We have received excellent feedback in regards to the Arrivals lounges in Terminals 2 and 4 and we are sure the Terminal 3 Arrivals lounge will be met with high praise too.”
“Having arrivals lounges benefits passengers and those who are waiting in the terminal, which enables us to further enhance the experience of travelling for all.”
Plaza Premium Group currently has arrivals lounges in both Terminals 2 and 4 at Heathrow. The arrivals lounge in Terminal 4 opened in March this year and with 75 person capacity features a lounge and bar area, as well as meeting room facilities.
The Terminal 2 Arrivals lounge was Plaza Premium Group’s first Arrivals lounge to open at Heathrow and boasts shower facilities, a bar and private resting suites. Its Terminal 2 Departures lounge has recently scooped a prestigious award and was ranked number one in the World’s Best Independent Airport Lounge category at the 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
John Arbuckle, Heathrow’s Head of Property, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Plaza Premium to Terminal 3 and offer our arriving passengers a quiet space to fully refresh; a service which has proved really popular in Terminal’s 2 and 4.”
