Balfour+Manson trainee becomes youngest partner

Balfour+Manson has promoted 29-year-old trainee Jamie Foulis –making him the firm’s youngest partner

Family law specialist Jamie Foulis, who joined legal firm Balfour+Manson as a trainee only six years ago, has been promoted to partner.
The 29-year-old becomes the youngest member of the 20-strong partnership at the Edinburgh-headquartered firm, which is based in Frederick Street, with a second office in  Aberdeen.
Shona Smith, Head of Family Law at Balfour+Manson, said: “I’m very pleased to see Jamie assumed as a partner. He is an excellent young lawyer with a very high level of understanding of complex family law issues and a vital member of our team in this busy and ever-changing area.”
Foulis, who started with the firm as a trainee in August 2011, is a member of the Family Law Association and volunteers with Citizen’s Advice Bureau as an adviser on family law matters.
