Wedgwood the Restaurant, which is owned and run by established Edinburgh chef Paul Wedgwood, has re-opened its doors after a month-long refurbishment.
Its new and striking interior has been designed by interior designer Nikki Rennie of Pride Shopfitting Scotland.
Owners Paul and Lisa Wedgwood say they wanted to celebrate the building, which sits on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, so Rennie has incorporated natural materials and used sand and cream hues, as well as uncovering some of the original features, including an exposed brick wall and old fireplace.
Changes to the restaurant layout include a new banquette-style seating area at the back of the restaurant and a brand new bar.
The stand out feature, however, is the atmospheric light screen downstairs which, according to Wedgwood, creates an intimate and romantic feel.
