Aer Lingus expects mobile check in to increase significantly

unnamedBusiness travellers who regularly fly Aer Lingus will be pleased to hear that the airline has launched a new mobile app to enhance passenger experience.
They will be able to save time and enjoy a more seamless booking and travel experience, as well as a more personalised mobile experience thanks to the new app which has been rolled out for Apple iOS and Android. med_A330_2aer lingus
Travellers can now search and save the best fares from 170 destinations worldwide, create personal and travel companion profiles, and securely save payment details for speedy purchase and check in.
They can also add their mobile boarding pass to wallet* for easy access through security and while boarding the flight.
Nearly 50 per cent of Aer Lingus passengers check in online before they reach the airport, with more than three quarters of those via desktop, with the remainder on mobile or tablet devices.
As a result of new check in and ‘day of travel’ features, Aer Lingus, which operates cheap flights from Edinburgh to Dublin, says it expects mobile check in to grow significantly.
