Event to offer the chance to learn how to get the most out Living Wage accreditation for your business and staff
Time is running out to book your free place on the Living Wage Expo Conference 2016 in Glasgow next month.
The event is to be held between 9.30am and 12.30pm on 31 October at the Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre and will offer the chance to hear more on how to make the most out of Living Wage accreditation for your business and staff, as well as be among the first employers to hear about the new Living Wage rate.
There will also be opportunities to meet fellow Living Wage employers from the private, public and third sectors.
Speakers include: Jamie Hepburn MSP, the Minister for Employability & Training; with contributions from Standard Life, SSE, Utopia Computers, VOCA Telemarketing, among many other employers.
There will also be testimonials from staff receiving the voluntary Living Wage and the impact that it makes. Included in the main plenary will be a session on how to make the most of the accreditation to generate positive media and social media for you as an employer.
The programme includes a selection of interactive break-out sessions designed to explore innovative ideas.
These include everything from how to be a family friendly employer; to using your Living Wage accreditation status to appeal to potential trust funders such as Comic Relief, Big Lottery Fund and Life Changes Trust who will be sharing their thoughts on this; and how the Fair Work agenda helps your business go further, amongst others.
This event is being supported by the University of Strathclyde and Strathclyde Business School.
Breakfast will be provided, with refreshments and snacks offered during breaks.
