Refurbishment works complete – helping to boost limited trade and industrial accommodation stock in the city
The refurbishment of two units at Bankhead Industrial Estate in the west of Edinburgh are set to boost the city’s limited trade and industrial property stock.
Vacant units 3 and 10 have been given an overhaul to create quality commercial property accommodation alongside current tenants Screwfix, Howdens, Dingbro, Wet Rooms, SafeStore, and The Edinburgh Beer Factory.
Unit 3 at 660 sq m (7,109 sq ft) has direct frontage onto Bankhead Crossway North and a secure fenced yard at the back. Internally the minimum eaves height is 8m and there is an open plan office at first floor level.
Unit 10 extends to 498 sq m (5,365 sq ft) and is a mid-terraced unit with a separate pedestrian access and a new vehicle access door. There is an office at first floor level and the eaves height in the main area is 8m.
Neil McAllister, partner at Ryden, which is marketing the units on behalf of Standard Life Investments, said: “There is now very limited trade industrial accommodation left in Edinburgh and it is expected that the above units will be attractive to the market. The location on the west side of Edinburgh is certainly as good as you will get in terms of accessibility to the road network serving Edinburgh and central Scotland.”
