TLT LLP has secured a unique license enabling the gambling platform to launch in 2017
Edinburgh-based TLT Solicitors has helped to secure a unique operating license – thought to be the first of its kind – for Betsold, a gambling platform.
It has enabled Betsold to get ready to launch its new patented platform, which it says is a completely new concept in the online betting industry, for any bookmaker with an online presence in early 2017.
According to TLT, the remote betting operating license is believed to be the first secured for a business model of its type.
The TLT team included partner and head of licensing (Scotland) Stephen McGowan and licensing legal director Niall Hassard.
McGowan said: “Having helped our client’s creative business model secure a licence from the UK Gambling Commission, we are looking forward to working with Betsold in the future and wish them all the best in the next stage of their growth.
“The application process was complex and required innovative thinking from all parties involved. We are grateful to the Gambling Commission for their assistance and patience as this unusual application was processed.”
Director of Betsold, Nicola Young, said: “We just couldn’t have got to this point without the expert assistance of TLT. We are very grateful to Stephen and his team for helping us get the business through a very complicated regulatory process and we now look forward to going to market.”
