Aquila Insight named one of Deloitte’s UK Tech Fast 50

Data analytics firm ranked 12th in Deloitte’s 2016 index of the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies

Edinburgh-based Aquila Insight has been named one of the top 12 in the 2016 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 – a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK.
The data analytics specialist was ranked 12th based on its percentage revenue growth over the last four years.
During this period, Aquila Insight says it has experienced stellar growth of 1343%. The company also secured sixth place in the software category and was third in Scotland.
The fast-growing data analytics company was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Edinburgh, with offices in London and Derby.
It works with the likes of Sony Mobile, RBS and Tesco Bank, and uses a combination of smart people and agile technology to help businesses unlock and realise the value of their customer data.
The company currently employs 75 staff in its UK offices, and is expecting headcount to double in the next 12 months.
Chief operating officer John Brodie said: “Securing 12th place in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 is a fantastic achievement and further highlights the passion and work that’s been put in by everyone in the company over the last few years.

In 2016, Aquila Insight won the prestigious DataIQ prize for Transformation Through Data for its work with Sony Mobile, while consultant Alice Hodgson took the New Talent prize.
