PR firm Citypress named industry’s best place to work

Integrated agency honoured for its cross-network working and top benefits

A UK PR firm, whose Scottish headquarters are in Edinburgh, has been recognised as one of the best employers in the industry.
Citypress, which also has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London, struck Gold in PRWeek magazine’s Best Places to Work Awards.
It took the top prize in the mid-sized category after judges singled the firm out for its “great benefits” and “culture of encouraging employees to work across its network”.
Judges also praised Citypress’ work with the Social Mobility Foundation, which aims to make practical improvements in social mobility for those from low-income backgrounds, as well as the agency’s flexibility for parents and significant investment in internal training.
PRWeek said: “The calibre of entrants rose again this year, and the judging panel had a difficult task deciding which teams would receive accolades. Citypress encourages staff members to work together closely across its network of offices, which really impressed us.”
The PRWeek Best Places to Work Awards recognise UK-based consultancies which go the extra mile to offer a superb working environment and progressive practices in the workplace. The 2017 awards received a record number of entries, including many of the firms ranked in the PRWeek Top 150.
The win follows a busy 12 months for Citypress, during which it announced the expansion of its network with a new office in Liverpool, was named Large Agency of the Year at the PRMoment Awards for the second time, and made several senior hires to support year-on-year growth.
Citypress was awarded Silver at the 2015 and 2016 Best Places to Work Awards.
Its clients include Aldi, Coca Cola, Bank of Scotland, and JLL.
